DIRECTORS STATEMENT
November 11th began as an experiment in empathy a small act of witnessing on a day suspended between silence and noise. The camera moves between remembrance and resistance: from the formal rituals of Armistice Day to the collective heartbeat of a peace march. These moments never meet to clash; they echo each other, two reflections of the same plea.
This opening teaser is part of a longer film currently in development, exploring how memory and protest coexist within modern Britain. It’s an observation of how we hold history and urgency in the same breath.
Filmed on Armistice Day, November 11th, it unfolded beside a global call for peace. Shot in panoramic black and white, the film listens to the rhythm of footsteps, the shared pulse of people asking for understanding. It searches not for sides but for stillness, for a moment where empathy feels louder than division.
The Ronin RS4 allowed movement to hold meaning; structure emerged through instinct. The interest was never to define, but to pause, to reveal how we are more connected than apart.
