Kumo London partnered with Fresh Air Productions to deliver full video production for Season 1 of ACCA’s flagship podcast series, By All Accounts.
Filmed at TYX Studios in London, the series spotlights early-career finance professionals in honest discussions around leadership, career balance and purpose in a changing industry.
Kumo handled the complete visual workflow from studio lighting and multi-camera rigging to live switching and post-production building a visual language that felt warm, intentional and rooted in clarity. Our technical direction allowed Fresh Air’s editorial team to focus fully on story and conversation, while ensuring every episode was optimised for YouTube and social platforms.
STRATEGIC INSIGHT
Rather than adopting a generic studio look, Kumo developed a lighting plan that mirrored ACCA’s brand identity pairing the signature red mics with plant-rich visuals and soft contrast ratios for depth and intimacy. Camera angles were chosen to preserve the dynamics of conversation balancing triangulated coverage with editorial focus on expression and gesture.
This studio environment was engineered for openness. From lens selection to colour temperature, each choice was made to amplify authentic human exchange a quality that distinguishes branded podcasts in a space often dominated by flat, formulaic imagery.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Podcasts are now a core medium for corporate storytelling but few achieve emotional connection. Through visual strategy and technical precision, Kumo London helped ACCA transform financial discourse into something human and engaging, opening the conversation to new audiences beyond the accountancy sector.
This project set a benchmark for how professional institutions can use film-led podcasts to convey values of authenticity, balance and career purpose bridging corporate communication and cultural storytelling.
