Filmed in the renowned literary landmark The Notting Hill Bookshop, a cultural location immortalised by the Hugh Grant film, this short-form literary documentary explores the store’s connection to translated fiction and its role in the International Booker Prize 2024. Commissioned by The Booker Prize and produced by Preference Studio, the film blends cinematic visuals, interview setups and archival moments to celebrate modern publishing culture and its international reach.

Kumo London provided on-location camera operator services, supporting the visual direction and coverage across the shoot. The final production weaves together literary video production and cultural documentary filmmaking to showcase a unique blend of global literature, editorial storytelling and London’s cinematic spaces, resulting in rich Booker Prize media coverage optimised for press, digital and institutional audiences.
